Located in Sherwood, OR Salary: $20-23HourA client of ours in Sherwood is looking for a Material Handler to add to their day shift. You will be maintaining production and distribution of products by pulling order and inventory, this position will work both inside and outside. #1939LIDThis is an evaluation to a full-time hire role.Duties: Read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be movedLoadunload materials using fork lift (standing and sitting), cranes or by hand, from pallets, trays, etc.Secure lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destinationWork closely with purchasing, inspectors and vendors to ensure all material is received as ordered on P.O.This includes meeting thickness and flatness tolerances along with widthdiameter and length dimensions plus type and grade of materialRecommends ways to improve productivity and safetyInform proper individuals of shortages on pick list, in order to meet timely completion of rush and breakdown ordersAbility to use a computer to enter data and create shipping labels and BOL'sKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs): HS DiplomaGEDFast pacedTaking initiativeAbility to use computer.Experience operating a sit-down and stand-up forklift within a high-traffic area with both people and fortable with numbers and basic mathExperience in material handling andor logisticsLift up to 50 lbs.
