Please note, this role is hybrid-in office based at our Support Center in Irving, TexasThe Manager - Data Science role is critical in helping to determine which CRM tactics most effectively drive long-term value with our customers. The ideal candidate will creatively apply advanced analytic techniques, ranging from DOE to predictive models and machine learning, that will both articulate business impact and optimize marketing spend. Clear communication of complex analyses and the ability to tell a story with data are critical to succeed in this role.Major ActivitiesStrategic Thought LeadershipDesign and execute analytics projects to quantify impact from various marketing campaignsWork with business partners to identify the challenges that needs to be quantifiedAct as subject matter expert for all projects in which involvedData AnalyticsMine extensive database in support of business insights and measurementDevelop well-thought, actionable insights using advanced analytics techniquesDetermine best approach for each analysis and articulate pros/cons of methodologyEnsure quality of data used in analysis and all presentation materialEffectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, from long-term projects to shorter, ad-hoc projectsAutomate standard deliverables and reduce repetitive processes for self and teamBusiness Insights & Cross Functional PartnershipsManage internal client relationships and serve as the SME for analytics within the CRM functionTell a story with data: gain buy-in from partners through the development and communication of compelling, easily understood analytics presentationsProvide strategic recommendations based on analyses tied to the organization's goals that will drive business resultsEffectively communicate with analytics team members and business partners with varying levels of understanding regarding analytics disciplineStaff Management & DevelopmentManage a team of data scientistsMentor analysts regarding analytics best practices, methodologies, and programming techniquesDevelop objective staff development strategies, effectively growing the capability sets of team and guiding analysts on their career advancementOther duties as assignedMinimum Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesMinimum EducationBachelor's degree in relevant quantitative field required, Master's preferredMinimum Special Certifications or technical skillsFluent in data fundamentals: SQL, data manipulation using a procedural language (R, Python), statistics, experimentation, and modelingProven track record of using data to provide actionable business resultsMinimum Type of experience the job requiresA minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in data science for a consumer centric companyProven experience partnering with business decision makers on advanced analytics topicsExpert-level experience with a wide range of quantitative methods that can be applied to business problems.
