Compensation: 90K - $120K Non-exemptAbout the RoleThe Employee Relations-focused HR Specialist acts as a key support resource for staff across the full employment lifecycle, including onboarding, workplace relations, performance support, and regulatory compliance. This position delivers day-to-day HR guidance while contributing to organizational culture and broader business objectives. The role supports multiple office locations, with occasional travel required, and follows a hybrid work structure.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate onboarding sessions to introduce new team members to workplace policies, culture, and available resourcesCollaborate with leaders to ensure new hires receive structured onboarding and trainingConduct follow-up check-ins (e.g., 90-day reviews) to support employee integration and engagementProvide guidance to newly appointed supervisors, including leadership development, policy interpretation, and support on team management mattersOffer ongoing coaching to managers on communication, leadership practices, and employee developmentAddress workplace concerns and employee relations matters, including advising on performance management processes and corrective actionsWork with leadership to identify performance issues early and develop appropriate improvement plansPartner with senior HR staff and legal advisors on complex or sensitive mattersAssist in conducting internal workplace reviews and investigations when neededManage offboarding processes, including exit discussions and identifying workforce trendsSupport the planning and execution of performance review cycles, ensuring consistency and timelinessCoordinate interim performance check-ins to track progress and engagementServe as a reliable point of contact for HR-related questions and guidancePrepare employment-related documentation as requiredHelp organize employee engagement and recognition initiativesContribute to the development and improvement of HR programs, policies, and proceduresOversee required training programs such as compliance, safety, and workplace conductStay informed on employment regulations and advise leadership on updates and implicationsEnsure adherence to applicable labor laws and regulatory requirementsCommunicate HR policies and updates clearly to employeesSupport additional projects as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related disciplineAt least 5 years of progressively responsible HR experience, including direct involvement in employee relationsProfessional HR certification (e.g., PHR or SHRM-CP) preferredExperience in a professional services environment is a plusSkills and AttributesStrong judgment and ability to handle sensitive information confidentiallyEffective multitasking and prioritization skills with minimal oversightHigh level of organization and attention to detailStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work across all levels of the organizationProficiency in standard office software and systemsSolid understanding of employment laws and regulationsExperience with HRIS platforms is a plus
