Senior SEO Strategist (Hands-On) - Onsite | Irvine, CAWe're hiring a Senior SEO Strategist to step into a high-impact, hands-on role supporting a large, multi-site organization in the education and healthcare space.This is not a reporting role. You will be embedded with web and content teams, owning execution across technical SEO, content, and site optimization initiatives.Role OverviewYou will play a key role in shaping how the organization shows up in modern search, including AI-driven results. This includes optimizing high-value program pages, implementing schema at scale, and supporting a major CMS migration.Key ResponsibilitiesOptimize and rebuild program pages with strong SEO structure, content, and internal linkingImplement and scale schema across templated pagesWrite and refine SEO content (no dedicated copywriters)Support a WordPress to Drupal migration, ensuring SEO preservationPartner with web and development teams on technical SEO initiativesReconcile and operationalize direction from multiple SEO agenciesMeasure performance and deliver clear, actionable insightsTop 3 Technical SkillsetsSchema + Technical SEO: Hands-on experience implementing structured data at scale across templated pagesContent + On-Page SEO: Ability to write and structure SEO content aligned to search intent and AI visibilityCMS + Migration Experience: WordPress and/or Drupal experience, including SEO support during migrationsQualifications5+ years of SEO experience in complex, large-scale environmentsExperience working in regulated or structured industries (healthcare, financial services, automotive, eCommerce, or similar)Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionExperience working cross-functionally with developers, content teams, and agenciesDetailsLocation: Irvine, CA (5 days onsite)Duration: 3-month contract with potential to extendHours: 40 hours per week
