Financial Analyst (Multifamily Real Estate Investment)We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our growing multifamily real estate investment firm. This role sits at the intersection of asset management, accounting, and transaction execution, providing exposure across the full lifecycle of real estate investments"”from acquisition and due diligence through operations and investor reporting.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants full visibility into leadership by reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analyses & Asset Management SupportAnalyze property-level financials to ensure accurate financial reportingCollaborate and support Asset Management on lender reporting, draw requests, and reserve trackingAnalyze mortgage billing statements and escrows for each asset to ensure they align with expectationsAccounting & Controller FunctionsOversee and coordinate with third-party property management accounting teamsReview and guide journal entries, reclasses, contributions, and distributionsAssist with internal entity accounting and budgeting (QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel), which includes maintaining updated internal financial statements and real estate owned schedulesSupport payroll processes, 401(k) administration, and internal financial operationsTransaction & Due Diligence SupportAssist with acquisition due diligence, including document collection and analysisMaintain transaction closing checklists and timelinesReview deal structures, waterfalls, and syndication documents to ensure alignment with business plansSupport deal execution through closingTreasury & Cash ManagementAssist with treasury functions including bank account oversight and cash movement processesPrepare and process quarterly investor distributionsMaintain controls around ACH/wire processesMonitor liquidity and capital flows across entities and propertiesExternal Stakeholder CoordinationServe as a point of contact for lenders, brokers, property managers, insurance agents, tax accountants, and cost segregation partnersRespond to reporting requests and ensure compliance with loan requirementsBuild and maintain strong professional relationships across stakeholdersTax & Compliance SupportAssist in preparing financials for tax filingsSupport annual tax return processes and investor K-1 distributionRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field1-3+ years of experience in:Real estate (preferred), private equity, or investment managementPublic accounting (audit/tax) with real estate exposure also consideredStrong financial analysis and accounting foundationProficiency in Microsoft ExcelPreferred QualificationsAccounting or finance experience with multifamily real estate or real estate syndicationsFamiliarity with:Property management/accounting systems (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, Real Page)QuickBooks or similar general ledger systemsUnderstanding of:Real estate waterfalls and partnership structuresDebt structures and lender reporting requirementsCPA or progress toward certification (nice to have, not required)Core CompetenciesAnalytical Thinking: Ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and risksOwnership & Accountability: Takes initiative and follows through independentlyAttention to Detail: Ensures accuracy across financial reporting and transactionsCommunication Skills: Clearly communicates with internal teams and external stakeholdersOrganization & Time Management: Manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProblem Solving: Proactively identifies issues and implements solutionsAdaptability: Thrives in an entrepreneurial, evolving organizationWhy Join UsExposure to the full real estate investment lifecycleDirect access to senior leadership and decision-makingOpportunity for rapid growth into senior finance or controller rolesCollaborative, entrepreneurial team environmentCompensation:$70,000-80,000 base salary with bonus structure.Full benefits package: 401(k), health insurance, vision insurance, and dental insurance, unlimited vacation timeFlexible work schedule but required to be in office most days of the weekWho We Are:Huber Equity Group is a private equity firm specializing in value-add multifamily opportunities across the Midwest and Southeastern United States.
