Clinical Applications Analyst (EPIC)LOCATION: Alaska This is a 2 weeks on-site, 6 weeks remote role TECHNOLOGY STACK: Epic Inpatient, Epic Optime, Epic ASAP, Epic Ambulatory, Muse (Nice to have: Rhapsody, ProVationProjects: Behavioral Health, Lab, Respiratory Therapy (workflows)RequiredStrong Clinical Applications experience in Epic Optime and/or ASAP and / or Ambulatory Certification (having all certifications is a huge plus)Strong experience with 3rd party clinical applications like Muse, ProVation, Rhapsody are preferred5+ years experience in Epic maintenance, support, configuration and implementationExperience with Cath Lab IS upgrades, Behavioral Health and Respiratory Health project is a plusSUMMARYResponsible as a thought leader for maximizing technology performance to achieve the best application outcomes and leads the Hospital's approach to technical application documentation in collaboration with the Clinical Informatics and Application Teams, as well as within the broader Information Services and Cyber Security departments.ResponsibilitiesImplementation and Configuration of clinical applicationsAssist with the implementation and configuration of software systems, ensuring they meet both clinical and business requirementsSupport and MaintenanceProvide ongoing support and troubleshooting for clinical and business applicationsPlan, design, implement, maintain, and provide ongoing optimization and support for clinical, ancillary and/or revenue cycle applications.Business Process AnalysisAnalyze clinical and business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimizationGather requirements from stakeholders and conduct needs assessmentsSystem IntegrationAssist with the integration of clinical and business applications, ensuring seamless workflows.Work with IT teams to resolve technical issues and ensure system stabilityPatch ManagementCoordinate with Infrastructure to manage and apply software patches and updates to clinical and business applicationsEnsure that all systems are up to date with the latest security patches and software updatesTest patches in a controlled environment before deployment to production systemsCollaboration, Training and CommunicationCollaborate with clinicians, staff, healthcare administrators, and business stakeholders to integrate IT solutions into existing workflows.Support or lead user communication, training and configuration tasks as requiredEvaluation and TestingEvaluates requests for system modifications and enhancements; makes modifications and thoroughly tests to standard and expectationsDocumentationCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation related to application configurations and support proceduresDevelop training materials and conduct training as needed on applications and updates
