We are seeking an Automation Technician at our Portageville, MO facility.We are seeking a strong individual with the right virtue and talent to join our team. The purpose of this job is to provide electrical control support for the plant to support our automotive manufacturing operations. Main Responsibilities:Maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety principles, and maintain accepted housekeeping standards.Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical / electronic systems, circuits and equipment.Trouble-shoots PLC's and relay logic controlsTerminates wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other componentsDiagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand toolsInstalls conduit, pulling wire and cableAssists electricians and electronic technicians with various tasksAdheres to all safety requirements including lockout / tagout proceduresPerforms work as a team member to assist in the completion of assigned tasksPerforms work on multiple heights / levelsRegularly perform preventative maintenance projects and assignmentsComply with all safety rules, company rules and guidelinesDemonstrate excellent attendanceWilling to work overtime and willing to work on any shift as requiredMust have a good understanding of AC (110-240-460 Electrical Circuits)Required Qualifications:High School diploma or GEDDemonstrated experience in trouble-shooting PLC's and industrial electronics. Must also be able to repair high-speed equipment and able to wire and trouble-shoot 3-phase motor control circuits. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalentMust have 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.Ideally, have completed an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty. Willingness to work a four on / four off work schedule.Physical Requirements:Requires hand, arm back, and leg strength; also, bending and squatting abilityMust have eye, foot, and hand coordination, and be able to do repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor manipulationAbility to work in fluctuating temperatures and perform work indoors/outdoors as needed
