This is an entry-level role ideal for a candidate who is highly organized, comfortable working across multiple systems, and eager to build a career in retail operations and supply chain. The Specialist will support two core functions: the accurate and timely issuance of purchase orders to our overseas production partners, and the setup and maintenance of items across internal and customer-facing systems.This role reports to the Operations / Item Creation Lead and works closely with Planning, Replenishment, and Warehouse teams, as well as external factory partners.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Purchase Order ManagementIssue purchase orders to overseas production partners (factories) in NetSuite based on demand signals from the Planning and Replenishment teamsTrack production purchase order status from issuance through factory acknowledgment, production, and shipmentMaintain accurate purchase order records, including quantities, costs, ship dates, and routing detailsCoordinate with overseas factory partners to confirm production timelines and resolve discrepanciesSupport the Operations team in monitoring on-time delivery performance and identifying potential delays earlyAssist with order maintenance activities, including updates, cancellations, and revisions as program needs evolveItem Creation and MaintenanceSet up new items in NetSuite and customer systems with accurate specifications, dimensions, and routing dataMaintain item records throughout the program lifecycle, including updates and end-of-life changesPartner with internal teams to ensure item data integrity across systemsSupport continuous improvement of item creation workflows as the function evolves within the Operations teamGeneralPartner with the Warehouse team to ensure inbound shipments are properly documented and routedContribute to ongoing process improvement efforts and help formalize standard operating proceduresProvide backup support for related operational functions as cross-training opportunities ariseQualificationsRequired0-2 years of professional experienceBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experienceStrong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsClear written and verbal communicationAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentComfort learning new software systemsPreferredExperience with NetSuite or another ERP systemExposure to retail, supply chain, apparel, or wholesale operationsFamiliarity with Walmart supplier systems (Retail Link, NOVA) is a plus but not requiredInternship or coursework in supply chain, logistics, business operations, or a related field
