We are seeking a skilled EDM & CNC Programmer to join a growing tooling department. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating a variety of CNC and manual machines to manufacture and repair molds, dies, and tooling components. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong machining knowledge who enjoys working with precision equipment and tight tolerances.DIRECT HIREPay: $22-$30/hr (higher for the right candidate!)Location: Spring Lake, MIShift: 7am-3:30pm (5-8 hours of OT during the week) Rare weekend workResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and EDM machinesPerform programming using G-code and/or CAM softwareRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsWork with tight tolerances (as close as 0.0005")Select and build fixtures and tooling as neededDownload/upload CNC programs and make adjustments as requiredMonitor machining processes and inspect finished partsTroubleshoot machine issues and respond to alarmsPerform routine machine maintenanceOperate multiple machines when neededSupport continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S)QualificationsManufacturing or machining experience requiredVocational training or Journeyman certification is a plusHigh school diploma or GED requiredRequired SkillsExperience with CNC machining (mills, lathes, and/or EDM)Ability to perform setups and make tooling adjustmentsFamiliarity with G-code programming and/or CAM softwareExperience with software such as Mastercam, BobCAD, OneCNC, or AutoCAD preferredStrong blueprint reading and measurement skillsExperience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)Knowledge of Fanuc controls is a plusAbility to troubleshoot and work independently
