This role is critical to ensuring production schedules are executed efficiently, customer commitments are met, and shop floor operations remain aligned with capacity, material availability, and business goals.The Scheduling Supervisor will lead production planning activities within a manufacturing environment, oversee Production Planners, and collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, engineering, and operations teams.Job DescriptionThe Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for managing department-level production schedules and ensuring work orders are released, executed, and completed on time. This leader drives continuous improvement in scheduling accuracy, material flow, and shop floor discipline while supporting operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain department production schedules across operational work centersLead and support Production Planners to ensure job readiness and on-time deliveryCoordinate closely with supply chain teams to align system demand with production requirementsIdentify operational capacity constraints and implement corrective actionsIntegrate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) into active production schedulesDefine and implement problem resolutions and process improvementsDrive adherence to shop floor transaction discipline and standard work practicesIncorporate planning decisions to reduce material and product variabilityCreate, document, and implement standard work for building and maintaining production schedulesPerform additional duties as assigned to support operational objectivesQualificationsRequired QualificationsWorking knowledge of manufacturing environments and production operationsExperience developing and managing production schedulesProficiency with MRP and ERP systemsStrong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)Excellent written, verbal, and collaboration skillsStrong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolutionAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionUnderstanding of business objectives, performance metrics, and financial targetsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field5+ years of related experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing leadershipExperience working in multi-department or complex manufacturing environmentsBenefitsOur partner's benefits include comprehensive health coverage with medical, dental, and vision plans, plus company HSA contributions and flexible spending accounts.
