Data Center Technician Location: Wenatchee WA (100% onsite)Contract: 3 months + possible extensionExperience Required: 3+ YearsOverviewWe are seeking a Data Center Field Technician to support data center and infrastructure deployments across customer environments. This role serves as the onsite lead and liaison, overseeing field execution, ensuring quality standards, and coordinating installation activities across multiple projects.This position combines strong hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the onsite lead and liaison for partner resources and subcontractorsAnalyze and interpret supporting documentation to stage devices according to predefined specificationsDevelop documentation for site surveys and onsite installation activitiesConduct site surveys and review findings with customers and field engineers to ensure site readinessInterview, schedule, manage, and coordinate field technicians across ongoing projectsCoordinate with Project Management teams to execute onsite deliverablesTrain field technicians on quality standards and installation expectationsPerform Dead on Arrival (DOA) / Green Light testingConduct post-installation Quality AssuranceIntegrate infrastructure components based on slotting matrices and cabling diagramsProvide console management access to support remote engineeringPerform cabling installation (pulling, securing, splicing, running conduit, etc.)Handle physical device placement including unboxing, racking, and mounting network equipmentRequired QualificationsLeadership experience managing small technical teamsStrong ability to adapt, collaborate, and make sound decisionsKnowledge of network cabling and fiber optic typesUnderstanding of infrastructure technologies and deployment processesFamiliarity with Cisco IOS, JunOS, and common networking protocolsExperience updating OS for Cisco, Juniper, and other networking devicesExperience with network implementations and technical supportFamiliarity with Ekahau and network heat mapping toolsData center experience requiredMinimum 3 years of progressive experience in a related fieldStrong communication skills when working with customers and peersAbility to manage complex project scopes and shifting prioritiesStrong time management, organizational, and analytical skillsPreferred Certifications / BackgroundBICSI Installer or equivalent knowledgeCCENT / Network+ / A+ or equivalent knowledgeDegree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experienceWhat you didn't know about us:Competitive salaryHealth, Dental and Vision BenefitsLong-Term growth potential401kWith this position, you will get the opportunity to work with a game changing client and further advance your already valuable experience in the telecom industry!We are Connectors.
