A leading eyewear company is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the design and development of eyewear collections from concept through production readiness. This role is ideal for a highly creative and technically strong designer who can translate design vision into scalable product systems, maintain exceptional quality standards, and help shape assortment strategy across optical and sun categories.The Senior Product Designer will play a key role in evolving the product design function by building repeatable processes, refining technical documentation, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams including merchandising, planning, brand, and production. This person will balance taste, innovation, and operational discipline while helping bring thoughtfully designed products to market.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is excited to help build structure around a strong creative point of view.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design of seasonal eyewear collections across optical and sun categories from concept to production-ready executionTranslate creative direction into commercially viable, technically sound product designsDrive silhouette development, material selection, color development, and construction detailingCreate and refine CADs, technical drawings, tech packs, and other development documentationOwn the end-to-end product development lifecycle including concepting, sampling, fit review, revisions, and final approvals preparationPartner directly with manufacturing teams to ensure execution aligns with design intentIdentify design, engineering, and production risks early and propose practical solutionsEstablish and improve repeatable design systems, tools, and processes that support scale and consistencyMaintain product quality standards related to fit, durability, construction, and aestheticsManage design timelines and ensure adherence to key milestones and calendar deliverablesCollaborate with planning and merchandising to align product direction with business goals and assortment needsSupport trend research, competitive analysis, seasonal concept development, and innovation in materials and constructionQualifications5-8+ years of eyewear design experience across both sun and optical categoriesDemonstrated success leading products from concept through productionStrong technical expertise in eyewear construction, fit, and materialsAdvanced proficiency in CAD and Adobe Creative SuiteExperience working directly with overseas manufacturers and development partnersStrong project management, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across teamsExcellent design judgment and a high standard for executional qualityBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) investment optionsCommuter benefitsFlexible spending and health savings account optionsPaid parental leavePaid time off and paid holidaysProfessional development and educational supportEmployee assistance and additional wellness benefits
