They are known for a collaborative HR environment and a strong emphasis on compliance, accuracy, and employee support.Job Description:Our client is seeking a Benefits Administrator to manage employee benefits and leave programs across a high-volume, multi-state workforce. This role will serve as the primary resource for employee benefit and leave inquiries, oversee Open Enrollment, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and support ongoing improvements to benefits and leave processes.This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates located in the EST time zone.Key Responsibilities:Administer daily operations for employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plansManage employee leave programs such as FMLA, short-term disability, and long-term disabilityAct as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to benefits eligibility, enrollment changes, and leave requestsTrack and process leave claims in partnership with HR operations while ensuring regulatory complianceLead annual Open Enrollment activities including employee communications, system updates, and issue resolutionManage the benefits inbox and escalate complex matters as appropriatePerform benefits billing reconciliation and resolve discrepancies with vendors and brokersConduct regular audits of benefits and leave records to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable lawsSupport continuous improvement initiatives within benefits and leave administrationQualifications:3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, including leave managementExperience supporting a high-volume employee population across multiple statesStrong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other applicable federal and state regulationsProficiency with HRIS and payroll systems; experience with benefits administration platformsIntermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPsExperience within government contracting environments strongly preferredPrior experience supporting Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) is highly preferredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CBP are a plusStrong attention to detail, organization, and communication skillsAdditional Details:Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for conversion based on performanceStart date: Within 1-2 days of accepted offerTeam size: 10+ HR professionalsCompany size: 1,600+ employeesFully remote role with EST working hoursPerks:Fully remote work environmentExposure to a large, complex HR operationOpportunity to convert to a permanent roleCollaborative and supportive HR teamCompetitive hourly pay with benefits eligibility
