Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Processer to manage end-to-end payroll operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, and supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with multiple payroll systems, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess full-cycle payroll, including wage calculations, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdingsManage payroll activities such as retroactive pay adjustments, time analysis, and year-end processingMaintain and update payroll records and HRIS data accuratelyEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax lawsReconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely mannerSupport internal and external audits, including documentation and reporting requirementsGenerate payroll reports and assist with compliance and financial reportingWork across multiple payroll systems and tools to manage data effectivelyCollaborate with HR, finance, and other internal teams to ensure smooth payroll operationsQualificationsMinimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience, including garnishments, taxes, and year-end activitiesHigh School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (Accounting, Business, or related field)FPC or CPP certification preferredProficiency in payroll systems, specifically Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, and ADPIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly ExcelAbility to manage multiple systems simultaneouslyStrong analytical skills, including retroactive pay calculations and time analysisHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to handle confidential and sensitive employee dataSolid understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirementsEffective communication skills with internal teams and employees35-hour work week with flexibility for alternating Friday shifts (6am-2pm or 10am-6pm)Ability to work onsite at the hospitalImportant Details:5-week contract position (extensions available)Shift is 7 hrs shift Mon - Fri (8:00 AM-4:00 PM), 35 hrs/weekLocation is New York, NY 10004Pay Range for Locals: $25 - $30 per hourNeed local candidates only.Call to Action:Spots Are Filling Quickly "” Apply Now!Company Description:"Pride Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors"Equal Employment OpportunityPride Health is an equal opportunity employer.
