This role marks a pivotal shift from an outsourced model to internal ownership, creating a stronger, more responsive financial foundation for the business.You'll take full ownership of accounting operations, bringing clarity, structure, and discipline to core processes, while also supporting leadership with insights that drive better decisions. This role requires someone who is both hands-on and strategic, comfortable operating in ambiguity, building from the ground up, and creating scalable solutions that evolve with the business.This is not a traditional Controller role. It blends technical accounting leadership with forward-looking financial partnership and offers significant autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to grow alongside the company.Core Responsibilities· Establish and transition accounting operations in-house· Own day-to-day accounting, monthly close, and financial reporting· Build clean, reliable, and scalable processes and controls· Strengthen cash management and cash flow visibility· Improve the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of financial data· Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning· Reduce reliance on external providers and streamline workflows· Develop internal capability for transactional accounting support· Partner with leadership to provide actionable financial insightsWhat We're Looking For· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field· 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance leadership roles· Demonstrated experience within the agricultural finance sector· Strong command of financial statements, close processes, and internal controls· Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management· Proven ability to build or improve accounting systems and processes· Strong systems and Excel proficiency· Ability to pass a drug screen and background · Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable operating with autonomy and ambiguity· Strategic mindset with the ability to balance detail and big-picture thinkingCompensation & Benefits· Competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 · Opportunity to participate in a performance-based bonus plan · Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage to support you and your family · Employer contribution to Health Savings Account (HSA) · SIMPLE IRA with up to a 3% employer match to support long-term financial goals · Generous paid time off, designed to encourage balance and recharge · 8 paid holidays throughout the year · Cell phone reimbursement Work Environment:Regular in-office presence is expected to support collaboration and team engagement, with some flexibility available.To ApplyPlease submit your cover letter and resume to recruitment@ Cascade Employers Association is assisting with this recruitment.First review of applications will begin immediately.
