Our client is a trusted IT infrastructure and managed services provider serving enterprise customers worldwide. Based out of New York City, they are looking to hire a Structured Cabling Project Manager on a Contract basis.Contract Duration: 1 Year Contract (Potential for extension)Required Skills & Experience• A minimum of 7-10+' experience in the specification, design & delivery of ICT infrastructure and Structured Cabling Systems• Ability to create designs to meet customer-driven requirements and to accommodate unique installation challenges• Experience with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite• Knowledge of Wi-Fi, AV systems, in-building cellular/DAS, security infrastructure, BMS and Smart Buildings/IoT.• Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification or equivalent is preferred.• Management experience is desirable• Good understanding of global and regional telecommunications standards, associations and best practice• Able to clearly communicate design intent or other technical arguments as part of client facing role• It is imperative that you can demonstrate good attention to detail and enjoy problem solving technical and non-technical issues.• Solid and demonstrated experience in developing solutions aligned to business requirements that utilize the organization's standards, product sets, templates, systems and artifacts.Daily ResponsibilitiesUndertake the specification, design and delivery of Structured Cabling Systems and their supporting infrastructureEnsure telecom infrastructure installation aligns with BICSE/TIA/local codes and GTI structured cabling standardsAttend construction and coordination meetings between Architectural, MEP, AV, Security, Smart Building(IoT), WiFi, DAS, Auxiliary Radio Communications, Vertical TransportDevelop tracker updates, port matrixesReview/analyze telecom bidsCoordinate meetings between different teams for coordination/reviewsReview RFIs responses by design telecom consultantsReview Telecom design documents and issue comments (via PDF markups, log tracker)Ensure design aligns with GTI structured cabling standardsTranslate business requirements into functional technology requirementsCommunicate Structured Cabling standards to partners, stakeholders and lines of businessResponsible for project progress, reporting and direct liaison with internal clientsInterface with Main Contractors, MEP Engineering and Architectural firmsDevelop relationships at all levels with key internal and external partnersAssemble professional documents based on existing templates, create budgets and estimatesOversee cabling contractor activities, providing direction to address site-specific construction issuesProvide quality assurance throughout the project lifecycleParticipate in all aspects of the infrastructure acceptance process and provide support to technology project managerYou will receive the following benefits:Medical Insurance - Four medical plans to choose from for you and your familyDental & Orthodontia BenefitsVision BenefitsHealth Savings Account (HSA)Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsVoluntary Life Insurance, Long-Term & Short-Term Disability InsuranceHospital Indemnity Insurance401(k) including match with pre and post-tax optionsPaid Sick Time LeaveLegal and Identity Protection PlansPre-tax Commuter Benefit529 College Saver PlanMotion Recruitment Partners (MRP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
