This role ensures accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards. The position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support organizational goals. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.ResponsibilitiesOwn the financial tracking and reconciliation of organizational funds, including restricted and designated funds, Grants, ensuring accuracy and compliancePerform monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations to maintain accurate financial recordsPrepare bank reconciliations and adjusting journal entries for timely and accurate reportingTrack and record stock and securities donations in coordination with internal teamsServe as a key user for fund structure and setup within financial and donor systems, ensuring data integrityAct as the finance liaison to Program Operations and Development teams, translating financial data into actionable insightsRequired Experience/SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3-5+ years of experience in accounting or financial operationsStrong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliationsAdvanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systemsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Experience/SkillsCPA certificationExperience with nonprofit, fund, project, or cost center accountingFamiliarity with Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge, or similar systemsExposure to organizations with complex funding sourcesKnowledge of GAAP and internal control best practicesEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline requiredCPA or progress toward CPA preferredContinuing education in nonprofit accounting or fund management is a plusBenefitsIf eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
