This is not a script-reading sales role. You will need to understand the customer, review RFQs and drawings, ask good questions, prepare accurate quotes, document assumptions, and work with the shop to make sure what we sell can be built profitably and delivered correctly.What You'll Be Doing:Moving a quote to a sale, then to a schedule for processing, then to a timely delivery and finally to an invoice. Periodically, you will request customer feedback to ensure that the company is meeting the customer expectations. Building and maintaining real relationships with manufacturers, construction companies and industrial clients.Understanding customer needs and providing accurate, timely project quotes.Translating technical drawings, specs, and RFQs into clear cost estimates.Collaborating with production and engineering teams to ensure product accuracy and follow-through.Managing quotes, orders, and timelines "” because our customers trust us to deliver.Representing QMF with integrity and enthusiasm in every conversation.This Role Is a Good Fit If You:Like talking with customers, but also like getting the details right.Understand that a good sale requires clear and timely communication.Are comfortable asking questions instead of guessing.Can follow up consistently without being reminded.Can work with shop, production, and management to turn RFQs into real orders.Work a quote to ensure that profit is built in even when commodity prices change.What You Bring:Solid knowledge of metal alloys in structural and architectural shapes.A self-starter's mindset "” you see opportunity everywhere.Strong people skills "” you can talk to anyone, from shop foremen to CEOs.Can estimate both one-off orders to repeat/volume production runs with a keen attention to detail.Competitive energy balanced by genuine care for customer and company success.Experience in manufacturing and/or fabrication; i.e. reading RFQs and drawings.Discipline; Follow-up; Documentation Control; Sales Order Management.ERP experience at some level.
