Headquartered in Maysville, KY, Carlson is known globally for its customer-focused technology and support, serving markets across North and South America, Canada, Australia, and Africa.Position Overview:Carlson Software is seeking an experienced Electronic Repair Technician to perform troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronic products, especially within our new generation of GPS equipment for the surveying and machine control industries.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair electronics in high-end GPS systemsPerform testing and validation of assembled products according to quality control proceduresIdentify root causes of product faults and communicate findings to the manufacturing and product development teamsParticipate in and contribute to quality improvement initiativesQualifications and Experience:Associate's degree preferred; Electrical Engineering Technology background is a plus5+ years of hands-on experience in electronic troubleshooting and repairExperience with PCB rework, including surface mount and fine-pitch componentsAbility to read electronic schematics and apply circuit theorySkilled in the use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analyzers, and similar diagnostic toolsUnderstanding of RF concepts and antennas is an advantageSoldering certification is a plus, but not requiredSkills and Attributes:Excellent manual dexterity and precision when working with small componentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAnalytical mindset with effective problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDesire to learn and continuously improveWork Schedule:37 hours per weekMonday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.How to Apply:Interested candidates should send a résumé and cover letter outlining their relevant experience to Tony Carter, Lead Engineer, at tcarter@
