Job Description

A nonprofit services organization in New York City is looking to add a new Part Time Assistant Program Director to join their team. They will provide supervision of Case Management services to ensure quality care for adults that have experienced Homelessness and Mental Illness.About the Opportunity:Start Date: ASAPAssignment Length: Until May 2026Schedule: 2 days a week (Monday/Tuesday and Fridays)Hours: 9am to 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)Responsibilities: Direct supervision of all program staff with regard to case management and program services, individual and groupAudit and review of individual consumer progress notes and service plans in conjunction with clinical staffResponsible for ensuring consumer service plans are reflective of agency standards, person-centered and trauma informed. Responsible for maintaining contact with other service agencies and ensuring client placement for treatment and program activities (may include volunteer job placement)Assist in coordinating with Director of Intake scheduling/interviewing all new tenantsResponsible with orientation and transitioning of new tenants into the programParticipates in crisis intervention, reporting management to agency and other stakeholders as neededSupport Facilities Management staff in ensuring maintenance of apartment standards Provides emergency and relief coverage as necessaryMay represent agency with community groups and agencies developing linkages for consumer servicesProvides supervisory meetings with all staff and maintains documentation of these meetingsPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field requiredMinimum of two (2) years of supervisory experienceExperience with homelessness and mental illness populationEffective written and oral communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsBasic computer skills (e.g. MS Office suite and Windows) Desired Skills:Master's degree preferred, professional license LMSW, LCSW, or LMHCExperience working with different populationsBilingual English/Spanish speakingBehavior Tech Training
