What a Truss Designer will **Estimate, design, and analyze trusses in a timely manner, which meet all applicable building codes, commonly accepted construction standards, and customer expectationsMaintain regular and predictable attendance in accordance with work schedule and workloadProvide efficient, accurate, and economical resolutions to customer issuesConsistently demonstrate an effort to maintain an efficient and organized working environmentReview and analyze technical data, structural calculations, and specificationsCollaborate with outside, cross-functional teams such as architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate information flow and design implementationManage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing other tasks to meet deadlinesIdentify areas for estimate and design improvements and recommend solutionsCommunicate effectively with all other team members and employees (managers, design colleagues, sales staff, delivery, and build crew)Maintain detailed records and reports on a job-to-job basisWhat you need to be a Truss ** Prior truss design and experience with MiTek software preferredAbility to read and understand residential and commercial blueprintsUnderstanding engineering and design principles, building codes, and construction practicesExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsWillingness to meet with customers at their locations as neededAbility to work in a collaborative environmentGeneral knowledge of the construction industry #NewCareerByDohertyDon't miss this opportunity!
