Our practitioners work collaboratively to tailor comprehensive treatment plans based on The Hudson Method, a care algorithm that has been perfected over the course of 12+ years treating 50K patients.Patient Care Coordinator PositionHudson Health is currently searching for a professional, compassionate, knowledgeable and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Clinical Assistant (Medical Transcriptionist) at Hudson Medical. This individual will be working closely with physician assistants, medical providers, and medical staff in order to ensure the accurate and timely transcription of medical information into the EMR system.In this role, the employee will be potentially responsible for a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to, clinical work of timely and accurate transcription of medical information into the EMR system, triaging patient flow, taking vital signs, collecting specimens for testing and aiding providers with pain management injections. Administrative tasks with regards to patient care and follow up. The Clinical Assistant position is a great experience for those applying for nursing, physician assistant, or medical school!RESPONSIBILITIES:Preparing patient charts for medical providers Performing comprehensive medical intakes and information gathering into EMR System (AthenaHealth) Coordinating with care team and providing patients with comprehensive treatment plans and strategies Reviewing patient records to ensure authorizations and medications are updated Assisting with patient checkout on rotational basisAssisting with Patient Service Representative, Medical Assistant teams on as needed basis Working in a collaborative team environment Potential work in helping our clinical research endeavors REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:Graduate with a BA/BS degree1-3 years experience within the medical field preferred Pre-Medical / Pre-PA / Pre Nursing School preferred To be successful in this role, candidates will demonstrate the following:Knowledge of medical terminology and treatment processesEffective listening skills with excellent customer service skillsExcellent people management, interpersonal and team working skillsAbility to provide compassionate care to patientsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailDemonstrate logical reasoning and critical thinking skillsSelf-motivated with time management skillsAbility to multi-task and follow-up on multiple projectsFlexibility and enthusiasmStrong leadership skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsCompetence in EMR, Athena Health System, Google document and worksheetAbility to handle stressful situations with discretion and professionalismAbility to work within a diverse group of employees and personalitiesHelp maintain a clean, courteous and professional working environmentSecondary language is a plus (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese)
