Job Description

A Health Care Management Corporation is seeking an experienced Full Time CAC (Certified Assistor Counselor) Bi-lingual Spanish to assist patients/consumers with application process for Medical Financial Assistance including Financial Aid, NYS Marketplace Insurance Coverage or NYS Medicaid Applications via NYS Marketplace and HRA. This position will be onsite Monday - Friday with alternate weekends. Training will be held in Melville, NY and working onsite in Queens, NY.Position Requirements include, but not limited ***** Interviews with Patients/Patient Representatives/Consumers at designated office location within Hospital facility, Hospital bedside, Emergency Room, and scheduled appointments at the Hospital facility. Work ***** Monday through Friday with Alternating Weekends; 5 Workdays per week. Ensure timely and quality processing of applications of the workload as assigned. Review accounts assigned for determination of existing insurance or potential eligibility for NYS Medicaid/Marketplace for Hospital Financial Assistance Program. Schedule follow up appointments for the purposes of obtaining documents as necessary to complete applications. Update Hospital /Other systems utilized for the transmission of applications in a timely manner. Participation in all educational activities, seminars and webinars. Performs other duties as required and assigned. Required: Bi-lingual Spanish required. Associate Degree or higher, preferred. 1-3 year(s) experience of Medicaid process and Third Party Verification. NYS of Health Certified Application Counselor Certificate.
