Our clinic serves TBI survivors amid an ethnically and linguistically diverse, multi-cultural population of principally essential workers. (please see our website for more detailed information ).About the RoleIn addition to TBI, we have a substantial population of patients with post-COVID-19 (neuro)psychological disorders. For the past fifteen years, we have been routinely training psychologists and interns in techniques of behavioral neurology, cognitive assessment, and neuropsychology. We have multiple board-certified neuropsychologists, who work with our psychologists in order to impart knowledge of cognitive evaluations using various assessment tools, including the classic paper and pencil methods (e.g., WAIS, the Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status RBANS) as well as computerized applications such as NeuroTrax®, the Integrated Visual and Auditory Attention Test Version 2 (IVA-2), MeSA-AE Mental System Assessment-Advanced Edition, etc.ResponsibilitiesConduct scientific studies of behavior and brain functionObserve, interview, and survey individualsIdentify psychological, emotional, behavioral, or organizational issues and diagnose disordersResearch and identify behavioral or emotional patternsTest for patterns that will help them better understand and predict behaviorDiscuss the treatment of problems with clients As a psychologists you will also acquire the expertise to provide cognitive remediation therapy using an EEG biofeedback technique and other computer-based programs to treat Post-Concussion-Syndrome (PCS). There is also an opportunity to participate in our research projects on TBI as well as post-COVID-19 neuro-cognitive impairment. Finally as a licensed psychologist you will actively supervise an ABCN approved post-doctoral internship.
