This means retail pop ups, warehouse sales, and events where we build community and offer a retail shopping experience. Events are the heartbeat of our community engagement model- they're where we create transformational experiences for young athletes, gain deep insights from our customers and have a lot of fun doing it!We have a 776BC purpose-built event trailer, our concept store on wheels. In this role you will strategize its route, performance, experience and be on site to activate key events. 776 activates at 10-20 major events across the US with a combination of trailer and tent. You will manage this program and budget, collaborating with the sales and marketing team to deliver growth in this specialist area.The role is based in Connecticut, with significant travel required around the Northeast and ideally further. This role is permanent part time, 4 days per week with lots of weekends required. Given the unique nature of this role we are open to discussing flexible and seasonal work arrangements.This role is incredibly unique and mixes the experience of a store/retail lead, with brand and community attributes. What You'll Do The Community/ Store Lead is responsible for leading the implementation and optimisation of 776BC's US event and community strategy as well as the running of events, pop-up stores and running events out of our Warehouse location. You will take ownership of the US event calendar and budget, project manage all major US events and deliver regional events - ensuring appropriate training, briefing, best practices and tools are in place to support teams to deliver consistent brand experiences.You will-Project manage all major event activations in USA working with key stakeholders internally and externally to deliver world class activations.Provide leadership and project management to the medium to local events.Have a strong event and/or store management background.Bring a can do, positive and energetic attitude needed to engage customer and event team alike.Ensure the appropriate documentation is prepared and approved for trailer and site security, insurance and event compliance.Pack stock, prepare trailer for event and drive trailer to and from events.Be responsible for trailer setup and maintenanceDevelop toolkits to guide and inform execution and train and motivate other staff to perform.Enhance 776BC's event capabilities by standardising our event production processes, best practices and tools to deliver consistency globallyIdentify and address challenges and opportunities.Merchandise and optimise a store floor for performance.Brief and collaborate with Operations and Product teams to order, transit, pack in and out stock.Develop and manage budgets for all major eventsSource event infrastructure as required to deliver the intended brand experience.Your story - skills and experience that you'll need to have:- 5+ years' experience in an event/store manager roleAn understanding of the rowing community or a strong willingness to learnExperience leading and developing peopleStrong project Management acumenStrong interpersonal skills and ability to add vibe and develop strong relationshipsAdaptability and problem-solving skills - events never go to planExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing prioritiesInnovative and creative thinkerAbility to travel and work flexible hoursAble and willing to travel to events and comfortable to drive a truck with a trailer.Youre just as comfortable constructing an event display with an electric drill as you are presenting your performance to management.Able to work independently with minimal direction, seeking coaching and guidance as neededHow we work: - We're a global team with Head Office in Melbourne Australia and US Operations in Shelton Connecticut.We work flexible hours as a global business, with some early and late timesYou will be expected to do weekend work or evening work to support eventsTravel will be required to local events and overseas from time to time to support global growth.You'll get the right tools of the trade to support you, a laptop and a phone if your role requires it.
