This person will spend roughly 10 hours a week in the aviation shop hands on with the team. They will spend the rest of their time focused on generating sales, sending bids, putting in orders, leading customer service and managing the team. They would be leading anywhere from 4-7 technicians at a time. They will perform maintenance /repairs on all aircraft avionics components and electrical systems components, such as airborne navigation and communication systems, autopilot systems, weather radar, transponder, pitot static systems, compass systems, instruments, and accessories. They will test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies, using circuit testers, oscilloscopes and voltmeters. They will also schedule the installation, troubleshooting and repairs of aircraft avionics equipment for the avionics department. They will be responsible for training apprentice and avionics technicians in proper installation, troubleshooting and repairs of avionics equipment installed in General Aviation aircraft.
