Job **A machinery manufacturing client of Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team in Chattanooga, TN. This role involves travel to client sites, up to 35-40%, primarily within the great Chattanooga, TN area. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for commissioning new equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, developing repair plans, and conducting preventative maintenance.Key *Travel to customer sites to commission new equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical problemsDevelop and implement repair plansConduct preventative maintenanceEducate and train internal customer service representatives on proper proceduresWork with external customers to identify root causes, investigate error trends, and make recommendationsDocument progress, maintenance notes, and records of customers/equipmentMust-Have *1-3+ years of experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical systemsAbility to read and interpret engineering documents, maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsPreferred *Experience commissioning equipment, preferably electrical systems and componentsAssociates degree in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringKnowledge or experience reading schematic drawingsExperience within the carpet/tufting industryAdditional ****A company vehicle and devices for documenting progress and maintenance will be provided.
