Allied Resources is hiring a Life Sciences, Mechanical Engineer to focus on the design and engineering of HVAC and utilities for buildings. You will work as part of a collaborative team of Mechanical Engineers, contributing to the successful delivery of utility system designs and equipment selection for ground-up Life Sciences projects. This is a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity with an annualized salary of up to $135,000, depending on experience.**Design and engineer HVAC and utility systems for new construction and renovation projects.Perform load calculations, utility assessments, and energy modeling to guide system design.Use Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to support design and documentation.Document all project phases including conceptual and schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.Develop and maintain accurate system schematics, ensuring design coordination with other disciplines.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with a mechanical focus).5+ years of experience in Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Laboratory) or Food & Beverage industry experience.Familiarity with mechanical/plumbing/fire/building codes.Understanding of integrated project delivery including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) processes.Basic experience with performing engineering calculations, and developing and implementing HVAC, mechanical utility and piping systems designs.EEO ***Allied Resources complies with all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) affirmative action laws and regulations.
