This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule requiring 2 days per week onsite in Atlanta, GA.Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives in the insurance industry. This role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and manage insurance-related projects from initiation to completionDefine project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource needsWork closely with stakeholders, underwriters, claims teams, compliance, IT, and vendorsManage project budgets, schedules, risks, and change requestsFacilitate regular status meetings and provide clear updates to leadershipEnsure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements throughout the project lifecycleIdentify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues as they ariseMaintain comprehensive project documentationSupport post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement effortsRequired Qualifications5+ years of project management experience3+ years of experience in the insurance industryProven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projectsStrong understanding of insurance operations (claims, underwriting, policy admin, etc.)Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skillsProficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, or similar)Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologiesPreferred QualificationsPMP, or other project management certificationExperience with insurance software systems (e.g., OneShield, Guidewire, Duck Creek, Applied Systems)Familiarity with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, NAIC, or state-specific requirements
