GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONResponsible for maintenance and repair of industrial facility at Zenith. This position will include all troubleshooting and repairs, mechanical and electrical. Consults management regarding issues encountered. Understands and performs daily job duties in a manner which supports the Company / Department SAFETY – QUALITY – PRODUCTION goals and objectives.MAJOR TASKS – RESPONSIBILITIESPerform basic and routine facilities maintenance tasksProficient in mig weldingObserve OSHA regulationsFollowing standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.Must be capable of facility repairs and fabricationsPerform work on miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, moving furniture or materials within and without the facility.Work with the Maintenance department on all machine /equipment issuesAbility to perform electrical tests, read results & diagnose & repair electrical problemsPerform preventive maintenance tasks as assignedAny assignment as directed per management within the scope of personal capabilitiesINDIRECT TASKSPerform housekeepingHelp with other facility repairs and fabricationsTeach, instruct, and otherwise educate concerning facility Support new product / project planning and implementation within the department & facilityAssist others as neededPERSONNEL CHARACTERISTICSFamiliarity with hand toolsFamiliarity with various power toolsDemonstrated ability to write legibly, to maintain records, and follow oral and written instructions.Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.Available to work overtime, including weekends and vacation coveragesAbility to communicate in English effectively, both orally and in writing.3-5 years of general maintenance work experienceAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.Understanding of basic computer programs.Comfortable with heights, using scissors and Genie boom liftsAble to lift up to 50 lbs frequently. Physically capable to assist with the moving and handling of tooling components & equipmentExceptional communication and customer service skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentRIGHTS & DUTIESWorks according to priorities set by the Facilities Manager and / or Shift SupervisorComplies with the regulations and guidelines of conduct in place at Zenith;Meets the requirements of safety, hygiene and quality of Zenith;
