These activities include supervision of maintenance employees, repair and maintenance of all plant equipment, management of maintenance cost, management of spare parts, development and implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance, and development and verification of maintenance procedures. This role will also include input to projects, development of maintenance staff, input to site master planning activities, and influence of site direction and culture. Position is a direct manager to the Plant Maintenance team, which can include but limited to Mechanical & Electrical Team Leads / Maintenance Techs, EIC Techs, Maintenance Planner, & Inventory Specialist.In this role, you will:Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities across all shifts, ensuring smooth operations in a 24/7 plant environment.Manage and allocate external resources required for ongoing maintenance projects and activities, ensuring timely completion and optimal resource use.Collaborate with operations leadership to prioritize equipment maintenance needs, ensuring the flow of resources aligns with the highest priority tasks.Develop and mentor maintenance staff, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to both maintain and enhance plant equipment reliability and performance.Oversee and update skill matrices for maintenance staff, providing coaching and performance evaluations to enhance workforce capabilities.Create, implement, and refine maintenance systems aimed at improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), including updating procedures, enhancing predictive maintenance protocols, and optimizing cost management systems.Enforce workplace safety standards and policies, ensuring that maintenance teams meet both performance expectations and strict safety guidelines.Manage the procurement of spare parts, maintenance tools, and supplies for all plant equipment, ensuring uninterrupted plant operations.Plan and execute shutdown maintenance activities, effectively managing downtime and minimizing disruptions to production schedules.What we look for:BS/BA Degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent experience7+ years maintenance experience2+ years in a manufacturing environment 3+ Proven Leadership ExperienceExperience leading electrical and mechanical techniciansStrong leadership problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis skillsAbility to coach and develop all levels of the organizationExtensive shop floor experience in manufacturing environment (not just assembly)Result oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashionProficiency in documentation and computing, including report generation, database maintenance, and resource tracking.Strong independent leadership skills.Develop work stream processes to improve efficiencies and productivity across multiple disciplinesExcellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills; able to effectively engage with all levels of organization and internal and external audiences.Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change management processExcellent organization and project management skillsStrong written and verbal business communication skills. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
