The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are:Maintain and promote Core ValuesMaintain and promotes 5S standards in the work areaAdhere to and promote Company health, safety and environmental policies while performing job dutiesAdhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical StandardsEnsure compliance with Company Repair Station Manual/Quality ManualEstablish work schedule to implement New Product Development.Verify that scrap criteria is correct and has been mutilated beyond repair.Inspect products to verify conformance to specs and directs set-up and adjustments of machines.Study production schedules and estimates worker hour required for completion of job assignment.Implement approved company policies and interpret same to workers and enforce safety regulations.Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties.Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.Run productivity events to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.Contain or reduce business costs.Responsible for On Time Delivery, Turn Around Time, Inventory levels and Quality escapes.Sustain and improve 5S levelsSuggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew.Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.Maintain time and production records.Manage employee time keeping in the ADP system in a timely mannerCoordinate employee needs with HR; use the Agile 1 system for temporary workersCoordinate communications with HR; ensures employee communications at Tier I meetingsEstimate, produce requisitions, and inspect materials.Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.Work with production control personnel to ensure customer requirements and schedules are met.Establish Production Schedules to meet customer On Time Delivery.Maintain monthly OME Budget.Conduct formal and informal training sessions.Interview job applicants.Perform other tasks in the facility as needed.Experience: 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory role within the manufacturing environmentDemonstrate and lead with front line leadership competencies:Set priorities and plan workManage conflictProvide feedback and recognitionMotivate and build the teamCommunicate effectively across the organizationDeliver results and drive improvements; guide the team to keep their commitments, assure delivery on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisDisplay and promote a positive, professional attitude across the organizationModel an organized, thoughtful manner while demonstrating company valuesConduct employee performance reviews, work with HR to coach employees, administer disciplinary actions, PIP’s, warnings and other employee relations issuesWork with all members to facilitate product flowCommunicate needs of the team to production manager; inform production manager of shortfalls immediatelyMust be fully reliable to accept and complete tasksBe willing to accept and adapt to changes in shifts, work days, and tasksAccept responsibility to ensure acceptable productivity of the entire teamImplement and maintain lean practicesActively participate and lead CPEX and LEAN events, attend company functionsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering About US Tech Solutions:US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
