Amtec Staffing has partnered with a leading commercial general contractor in Long Beach, CA to find an experienced Lead Superintendent to lead a high-profile, $15 million ground-up public works project in Long Beach, CA.This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team known for delivering high-quality projects across a variety of commercial sectors.Project **Big Box Retail • Healthcare • Commercial DevelopmentsPosition *The Lead Superintendent will be responsible for the on-site coordination, execution, and delivery of complex ground-up commercial projects. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing subcontractors, schedules, and quality control to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Key *Oversee all field operations, including subcontractor coordination, safety enforcement, and quality assurance.Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the construction schedule.Lead regular site meetings with project teams, trades, and stakeholders.Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.Coordinate and manage on-site inspections and address any compliance issues.Maintain accurate project documentation including daily logs, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists.**5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial ground-up big box projects, ideally in the South California markets.Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and safety regulations.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.Excellent communication and team leadership skills.Proficiency in construction management software, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite.OSHA 30 certification is preferred.This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive compensation package and strong potential for growth.
