Your role will be primarily focused on design, with oversight through the entire project lifecycle to ensure design excellence, technical accuracy, and client satisfaction.Role Overview:As Project Lead, you will be a key player in the initial design work, working closely with our internal teams and external collaborators to develop design concepts that align with both client goals and regulatory requirements. While the role is design-focused, you will maintain a hands-on approach as the project manager, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the projects duration. You will be a resource to the production team based in Argentina and Los Angeles, provide oversight, and remain involved throughout the process to ensure the final design is executed effectively.This role is client-facing and will require occasional site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure that the work meets design and technical expectations.Key Responsibilities:Design Leadership:Lead early project phases, including feasibility studies, concept design, and schematic design, ensuring alignment with client vision, regulatory requirements (zoning/building codes), and budget considerations.Project Oversight:Manage project milestones and timelines while overseeing the transition from design to production. This includes coordinating with the production team (based in Argentina and Los Angeles) for BIM modeling, permit documentation, and construction drawings.Client Relations:Act as the primary point of contact for clients, presenting design concepts, managing client feedback, and ensuring that client expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.Team Coordination:Provide ongoing guidance and oversight to the junior production staff, ensuring that design and technical integrity are maintained throughout the production phase.Site Visits:Conduct site visits (as needed) to projects in Los Angeles during construction to monitor quality, resolve design or technical issues, and ensure the construction aligns with the intended design vision.Documentation:Oversee the preparation and development of design presentations, permit documentation, and construction drawings. Ensure all deliverables are met according to project schedules and specifications.Collaboration:Work closely with the broader design and production team to ensure efficient workflows, clear communication, and successful project outcomes.Required Qualifications:A minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of professional experience in architecture or design, with a focus on single-family residential projects from design through construction.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.Proficiency in software such as Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bluebeam, and Procore.Strong understanding of local zoning and building codes in Los Angeles.Ability to manage remote teams and provide effective oversight on design and technical execution.Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to both clients and team members.Willingness and ability to conduct regular site visits to construction sites in Los Angeles.
