Job ***** Maintenance Technician***** Omaha, NE***** Full TimeJob **We are seeking a motivated individual to perform a variety of tasks in any number of areas in the operation including install, set up, maintenance and repair of plant equipment and ammonia refrigeration system in the processing of raw materials for the pet food, pharmaceutical and feed industries. Maintain general maintenance of the building and facilities by performing the following **Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctionsLocates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using measuring and testing instrumentsMaintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receiptMaintain all shop, engine rooms and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashionComplete all assigned work orders in a timely mannerAssist in updating the PSM & PM ProgramsMaintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networksMaintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needsAdhere to all safety guidelines and wearing of all required safety gear (PPE)Adhere to attendance guidelines of the company at the assigned work locationMaintains tools and equipment in good working order and in their proper placeDaily roundsReport any hazards to managementOther duties as assignedHigh school diploma/GED and Vocational Technical school and (1-3) years of experience and/or equivalent experience and educationExperience in welding, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, ammonia refrigeration and some building maintenanceExperience in the meat processing industry is desired but not required
