As a key team member, you will also play an essential role in fostering client relationships and supporting internal collaboration within the CAS department.Duties/Responsibilities:Client-Facing ResponsibilitiesServe as a direct point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, trust-based relationshipsMaintain regular communication with clients via phone and email to ensure needs are being metProvide timely responses and professional support for client questions and accounting inquiriesEducate clients on best practices and assist in implementing improvements when neededAccounting & Compliance FunctionsRecord financial transactions accurately in alignment with each client’s chart of accountsManage daily accounts payable activity, including invoice entry and payment schedulingReconcile bank and credit card accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial dataPrepare and file sales tax reports in compliance with state and local requirementsComplete the annual 1099 filings and ensure deadlines are metSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including:Journal entry preparationBalance sheet account reconciliationsFinancial report generationTeam & Process SupportCollaborate with CAS team members along with the tax and assurance department to ensure consistent and high-quality service deliveryIdentify and troubleshoot accounting issues, escalating as needed to managementContribute to process improvements and standardization efforts within the departmentParticipate in continuing education initiatives related to accounting standards and technology toolsStay up to date with industry’s best practices, software updates (e.g., QuickBooks), and firm proceduresPossess a deep understanding of all Stonehenge products and services, with the ability to identify opportunities for clients to benefit from additional offerings.Required Skills/Abilities:Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skillsAbility to make and support decisions regarding accountingExcellent communication and writing skillsQuickBooks experienceThomson Reuters suite of programs (Ultra Tax, Depreciation, GFR, Practice)Advanced experience with Microsoft ExcelEducation and Experience:5+ years of accounting experienceBachelors degree in accounting or relevant field (preferred)Stonehenge Advantage:Put Clients First by always acting in their best interest and striving to exceed expectations.Lead with Integrity by upholding honesty, accountability, and the highest ethical standards.Think Critically and approach challenges with strategy, creativity, and precision.Be a Team Player who fosters trust, reliability, and positive collaboration.Embrace Growth through continuous learning, professional development, and new challenges.Maintain Balance by working hard, enjoying the process, and bringing a sense of humor.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Work Environment:On-site with flexibility
