This role is critical to plant performance and is responsible for ensuring sanitation is executed safely, consistently, and in full compliance with SSOPs, GMPs, HACCP principles, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This position partners closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to ensure the facility is production-ready every day.Shift:Graveyard HoursThis role is perfect for someone whoHas deep sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment.Understands sanitation as a food safety system, not just cleaning.Leads from the floor and holds teams accountable.Can follow SSOPs and improve them when processes change.Is comfortable working nights and independently.Communicates clearly across departments.Takes ownership of audit performance.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, schedule, and lead the sanitation team during graveyard shift.Ensure all equipment and facility areas are cleaned per SSOPs.Assign work and verify completion.Adjust labor to meet production needs.Own and improve SSOPs.Conduct sanitation verifications and pre-ops.Support audits and corrective actions.Train sanitation employees.Work with Maintenance on sanitation-related repairs.Escalate food safety concerns immediately.QualificationsMinimum 5 years sanitation experience in food manufacturing.Minimum 3 years lead or supervisory experience.Strong SSOP, GMP, and HACCP knowledge.Audit experience preferred.Strong documentation and communication skills.Physical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and work in wet, cold, or hot environments. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely handle sanitation tools, hoses, and equipment.
