(Includes all state-required inspections and frequencies)/n/tPerform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment/n/tPerform quality maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any company-owned equipment/n/tAddress all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups timely and efficiently/n/tDiagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications including but not limited to engines, transmissions and clutches, drive-line, differential, steering and suspension, fuel and ignition system, exhaust systems (including regeneration systems), intake systems, electrical systems, brake systems, HVAC systems and lift-gate hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems/n/tFollow procedures, including documenting all work performed on work orders/n/tLearn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs/n/tProficient in electrical meter testing/n/tKnowledge of controls and electric (DC - distribution center) low voltage/n/tElectric motor knowledge (DC)/n/tComplete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed/n/n/nQualifications:/n/n/n/tHigh school diploma or GED required/n/tCurrent and valid driver's license (CDL preferred, not required)/n/n/nPreferred Experience:/n/n/n/tMedium/heavy-duty truck technical training/n/t3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair OR 2 years of school and 1 year of experience/n/n/nPreferred Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:/n/n/n/tAnnual Inspector Certification, knowledge, skills, and abilities/n/tBrake Inspector Certification, knowledge, skills, and abilities/n/tASE certifications; automotive or medium/heavy-duty trucks/n/t609 HVAC certification/n/tWorking knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers/n/tThe technician must provide their own tools (diagnostic equipment and major tools provided by Sysco) necessary to perform all maintenance repairs, and diagnostics/n/n/nSysco is an Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law./n/n(*The pay range provided is not indicative of Sysco’s actual pay range but is merely algorithmic and provided for generalized comparison.
