Sweet Legacy Hospitality Group is seeking a seasoned, detail-driven Bar Manager to oversee bar operations across Sweet Lorraine’s Jazz Club and Whiskey & Sticks, two distinct but complementary hospitality concepts in New Orleans. This role requires a confident operator with strong bar systems knowledge, cost control discipline, and the ability to lead teams in high-energy, nightlife-forward environments. The Bar Manager is responsible for beverage execution, staff leadership, inventory control, margin performance, and guest experience across both venues. Required Experience & Skills Minimum 3-5 years of bar or beverage management experience Proven experience with Toast POS Working proficiency in MarginEdge (inventory, invoicing, COGS, reporting) Working proficiency in BarMatrix (bar costing, pricing, recipe control) Strong understanding of bar P&Ls, beverage margins, and labor controls Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and service standards Experience managing high-volume bars, nightlife venues, or live-music environments Strong leadership, training, and communication skills Ability to stay organized, calm, and professional under pressure ServSafe or Responsible Vendor certification (or ability to obtain) Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays Key Responsibilities Oversee daily bar operations at Sweet Lorraine’s and Whiskey & Sticks Hire, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate bartenders and barbacks Maintain consistent cocktail execution, recipes, and service standards Use BarMatrix to build, cost, and maintain all bar recipes Use MarginEdge to manage inventory, invoices, ordering, and variance control Monitor beverage costs, waste, and pour accuracy Collaborate with General Managers on sales goals, labor planning, and promotions Support live music nights, special events, cigar nights, and private parties Ensure bar readiness for performances, peak hours, and special programming Assist in developing specialty menus, featured cocktails, and whiskey/cigar pairings Maintain cleanliness, organization, and bar presentation standards Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws, company policies, and safety standards Complete weekly reporting, inventories, and operational documentation accurately The Role This position is ideal for a Bar Manager who: Understands both craft cocktail culture and high-volume execution Can manage multiple concepts with different explaining points (jazz club vs. cigar lounge) Is disciplined about margins but guest-forward in service Wants to help shape the beverage identity of two respected New Orleans venues
