Job ID: 2600196Job Description:Role Summary and Purpose:The Vice President, Field Sales will be responsible for leading the DICK’S Sporting Goods (DSG) Field Sales team to drive profitable growth through in-store engagements and store support functions. In addition to managing 7 remote field sales managers (FSMs), this leader will also manage and mentor 2 sales support roles to optimize processes, reporting, and engagements across DSG brands.We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Field Sales to lead our remote DSG field sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving profitable in-store sales, increasing applications, and growing new accounts. You will own the continuous optimization of store visit strategies and manage key relationships, including close collaboration with the dedicated Store Credit Operations Manager at DSG. Additionally, you will enhance training programs, leverage technology and data to optimize engagements, and foster strong engagement with the DSG team. This position also requires effective cross-functional collaboration with various Synchrony teams to ensure the field sales perspective is fully integrated into broader program initiatives.Our Way of WorkingWe’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.Day to day responsibilities include:Effectively, lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales leaders to maximize their performance and achieve new accounts and sales goalsPlan, organize, and oversee daily field sales activities, ensuring effective territory coverage, and customer engagementDesign and execute effective sales processes and Go-to-Market engagement strategies while ensuring alignment across DSG brands (including: DSG, Golf Galaxy, House of Sports and Public Lands)Share strategic vision, goals and objectives, ensuring clear communication and cascade with entire teamDesign and standardize sales model, and govern sales processes; embed tools, enablement, data and analytics into workflows to further optimize sales strategyConduct virtual and physical co-travels with FSM’s and ASM to coach, develop, recognize, and gather best practicesUtilize internal tools to drive effectiveness (Teams, Microsoft, SFDC, Seismic, Map Anything, etc.), to develop materials and systems to increase Field Team productivity and adherence to role expectationsDevelop and oversee the team budgets (travel, contest, store operations) to strategically support all client engagements and optimize resource utilizationMaintain strong organizational culture through implementing programs that drive employee development, morale, motivation, leveraging SYF leadership commitments, Great Places to Work efforts and championing diversity and inclusion principlesProvide leadership to ensure adherence to company policies, ethical sales practices external and internal compliance and regulatory requirementsProvide executive level updates on overall performancePerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's Degree with 6 plus years of Sales experience OR in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/Equivalent with 9 plus years of experience in SalesMinimum 6 years of experience in retail and/or consumer financial services environmentMinimum of 5 years of experience working in SalesForceMinimum of 2 years Management/Sales Management experienceMust be willing to travel 50% or moreAbility and flexibility to travel for business as requiredDesired Characteristics:Ability to develop executable strategies, build and lead teams, articulate a clear vision, and deliver results.Experience managing multi-client relationshipPrior experience managing a geographically dispersed team.Strong financial/analytical, and negotiation skills.Bachelor’s Degree with major in Finance, Marketing or related fieldProficient use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Demonstrated self-motivated and initiative; excellent organizational and influencing skillsExcellent communication skills; ability to interact with team, peers and senior leadersDemonstrated use of effective financial analytical, organizational and project management skills.Proficient at SFDC, prioritization and coverage strategyEligibility RequirementsYou must be 18 years or olderYou must have a high school diploma or equivalentYou must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding processYou must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.
