Changing Lives Shaping The FutureJob Title: Director of Learning and DevelopmentSalary: $150,000Job Status: Full timeWork Location: Chino Hills, CA  JOB SUMMARYThe Director of Learning & Development is a strategic leader responsible for advancing Redwood Family Care Network’s mission to provide World-Class, person-centered services by building a strong, capable, and engaged workforce. This role leads the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development strategies that support employees at every stage of their career from onboarding to leadership development.Grounded in Redwood’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values, the Director of Learning & Development plays a critical role in shaping organizational culture, strengthening leadership capability, and fostering continuous growth. Working collaboratively across Quality, Human Resources, Operations, Compliance, and Executive Leadership, this role ensures learning initiatives are practical, scalable, compliant, and aligned with the evolving needs of the organization and the individuals we support.This position champions innovation in learning, leverages technology and data to drive effectiveness, and reinforces Redwood’s commitment to integrity, empowerment, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSKnowledgeDemonstrated experience supporting employees across multiple roles, career stages, and geographic locationsProven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders to design and implement learning initiatives aligned with organizational strategyStrong understanding of adult learning principles, leadership development, and workforce development in regulated environmentsSkillsExperience implementing technology-enabled learning solutions, including Learning Management Systems and digital learning platformsAbility to translate organizational goals, compliance requirements, and cultural priorities into effective learning programsStrong analytical and project management skills, including the use of KPIs to measure learning effectivenessExcellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEEducation Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or equivalent required), Masters (preferred)ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Training, or a closely related fieldLeadership experience designing and managing organization-wide learning programs preferredESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEssential functions are framed around Redwood Family Care Network’s Core Values.
