Job Description:A Registered Respiratory Therapist, (RRT) is a licensed RCP who has been registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care, after successful completion of the required education, experience, and examination requirements. The RRT/RCP performs all Respiratory care modalities for all patient populations in routine, emergency and critical situations.Education:Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy PreferredBachelor's Degree Respiratory Care PreferredADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBLS and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support certification is required for all RT’s at the Concord Medical Center campus.Respiratory Therapists receiving their initial RRT credential prior to July 1st, 2002 will not be, per NBRC guidelines required to renew this certification in order to maintain their RRT credential.Respiratory Therapists receiving their initial RRT certification after July 1st, 2002 will, per NBRC guidelines be required to renew their certification every 5 years to maintain their RRT credential and meet the minimum requirements of the job description.Certifications/Licensures:RCP Respiratory Care Practitioner - California Respiratory Care Board RequiredRegistered Respiratory Therapist - NBRC National Board of Respiratory Care RequiredBLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association RequiredPALS Pediatric Adv Life Support - American Heart Association RequiredACCS Adult Critical Care Specialist - NBRC National Board of Respiratory Care PreferredWork Shift:08.0 - 18:00 - 02:30 No Waive (United States of America)Pay Range:$60.51 - $84.59HourlyOffer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
