Shift: 5x8 hr days Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Pay: $1500 / Week Monitor Technician / Telemetry Technician – Travel Location: Jackson, CA Start Date: 03/03/2026 Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: Day Shift | 5×8s | 07:30 AM – 4:00 PM Job Summary Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Monitor Technician / Telemetry Technician provides continuous cardiac monitoring and basic patient care support. This role is responsible for accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms, prompt communication of rhythm changes, and assisting with delegated bedside patient care activities. The position supports ICU and Telemetry units and may float to Med/Surg Tele as needed. Responsibilities Telemetry & Monitoring Duties Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms Identify and report dysrhythmias or rhythm changes to RN/physician Maintain and document rhythm strips in patient charts Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECGs Place and transfer patients within cardiac monitoring systems Troubleshoot telemetry alarms and monitoring equipment Utilize Philips cardiac monitoring systems Patient Care Support Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) under RN delegation Take and record vital signs Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges Collect specimens as required Support patient hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and elimination Educate patients on procedures to reduce anxiety Work Setting ICU telemetry monitoring On-unit telemetry monitoring Floating required to Med/Surg Tele floor Requirements Minimum 2 years of Monitor Tech / Telemetry experience BLS required EKG Certification required (CCT or CRAT accepted) Epic EMR experience required Travel experience required CNA certification highly preferred (not required) Skills & Knowledge Cardiac rhythm interpretation CPR/Cardiac arrest response awareness 5-lead placement Isolation precautions and PPE Strong communication with nursing and provider teams Accurate documentation and alarm management Unit Details Patient Ratio: 1:3 Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics Beds: 6 Daily Census: 5 Orientation: 16 hours Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend Requirements: Requirements Minimum 2 years of Monitor Tech / Telemetry experience BLS required EKG Certification required (CCT or CRAT accepted) Epic EMR experience required Travel experience required CNA certification highly preferred (not required) About Lancesoft: LanceSoft’s mission is to establish global cross-culture human connections that further the careers of our employees and strengthens the businesses of our clients.
