The General Psychiatrist will provide inpatient psychiatric care for adults in a 24-bed unit. The position is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with one night call and one weekend call per month. This is an inpatient-only position, and the psychiatrist will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive mental health services to patients in an acute care setting.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide inpatient psychiatric care to adult patients in the 24-bed unit. Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment as necessary, and provide ongoing support. Participate in team meetings and case discussions to ensure coordinated and effective care. Provide psychiatric assessments and consultations as needed for medical and surgical units. Provide education and guidance to patients and families on psychiatric conditions and treatment options. Participate in on-call coverage as required (one night call and one weekend call per month). Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive medical records. QualificationsMD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Board Certified in Psychiatry (must be completed within two years of completing residency). At least 3 years of experience in general psychiatry, preferably in an inpatient setting. Boarded in Addiction Medicine is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and deliver high-quality patient care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload in a fast-paced, clinical setting. Work ScheduleFull-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 1 night call and 1 weekend call per month.
