This position offers numerous opportunities for growth, collaboration, and problem-solving in a thought-provoking, mission-driven setting.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working with large, complex, and disparate data setsDesigning and implementing innovative ways to analyze and exploit the Sponsor's data holdingsResearching and reporting on a wide variety of Sponsor inquiriesProactively identifying areas for analysis or exploitation and raising inquiries to the SponsorApplying advanced analytical methodologies to solve difficult, non-routine problems and improve analytic processesDeveloping custom searchesParticipating in threat hunting and/or developing advanced, novel detection mechanisms to counter malicious actorsMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience coding/scripting in PythonDemonstrated knowledge of appropriate analytic tools and methodologies in one or more of the following:Applied mathematics (e.g., probability and statistics, formal modeling, computational social sciences)Computer programming (e.g., programming languages, math/statistics packages, computer science, machine learning, scientific computing)Ability to collect information and accurately visualize and represent it to non-technical stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:Understanding of algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detectionKnowledge of relational databases including SQL and large-scale distributed systems such as HadoopExperience with statistical data analysis (e.g., linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling)Background in computer network operations, particularly network defense and/or exploitationExperience in signature development, threat hunting, and/or threat modelingClearance Requirements:An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is requiredPhysical Requirements:Use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printerThe person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under desks and in the server closet
