Experience: • 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months. • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted. Additional Details: Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Guaranteed 36 hours per week Required certifications: EKG certification Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Total joints, ortho-hip fx, spine surgeries-lumbar and cervical; Urology procedures, CBI; General surgeries- choles, bowel resections, complicated mastectomies; GYN overflow-total hysters; Medical overflow-COPD, some behavioral health, sepsis, infections. Must be able to read and interpret tele. Must be willing to take students, may precept new travelers- please note on interview they are willing. Scheduler will schedule travelers- no block scheduling. Weekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts in a 6 week period- travelers are utilized to fill in gaps. Holiday Requirement: yes- if there is a need. Floating Requirements: Will float between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit. Can also go to any like units in the system- Boise Medical Center 8mi away and Nampa Medical Center- both about 8 miles away. Could also float to ER for holds or to be a 1:1. Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color as long as clean and professional.
