ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This role offers the opportunity to support a critical cyber mission by maintaining and enhancing perimeter protection systems in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:You will be responsible for operations and maintenance of deployed perimeter protection solutions with a focus on cybersecurity.You will engineer and deploy new capabilities to enhance functionality, system performance, and availability, while increasing efficiency within the operational environment.You will provide Tier 2/3 maintenance support for deployed security technologies.You will support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts related to deployed systems.You will identify and help resolve potential conflicts involving the integration of new technologies within the enterprise environment.You will contribute to the achievement of project milestones and deliverables.You will develop solutions for a range of complex technical challenges.You will help develop plans to safeguard computer files against unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree7+ years of cybersecurity experienceHands-on experience with network defense technologies including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and email security platformsSolid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, TCP/IP networking, and general network security principlesIAT Level II certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting the development, engineering, testing, sustainment, and O&M of secure government systemsHands-on experience with F5 and Trellix (FireEye) security solutionsFamiliarity with cybersecurity architectural principles such as defense-in-depth, resilience, and integrated security operationsKnowledge of database and operating system security practicesUnderstanding of defensive cyber operationsAbility to apply security design principles across systems and enterprise architectureBasic understanding of cloud computing principlesExperience with Information Assurance concepts and security compliance processes Clearance Requirements:Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph Physical Requirements:The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
