Our work depends on Systems Administrator Senior joining our team to provide in-depth knowledge and expertise to a secure communications project for the Department of State.HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACTâ— Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systemsâ— Perform systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the endâ— Provides and applies engineering to highly complex infrastructures including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management toolsâ— Performs continual maintenance and provides advanced solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problemsâ— Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projectsâ— Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processesâ— Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiencyâ— Drives scalability and operability of supported systems/infrastructureâ— Implements, manages, and enhances Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline toolsâ— Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidanceâ— May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionalsâ— May serve as a team or task leadWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:â— Education: Requires an engineering Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceâ— Required Experience: 5+ years of related experienceâ— Required Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linuxâ— Security Clearance Level: Active Secret Clearance is requiredâ— Required Skills and Abilities: Strong technical communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectivelyâ— Preferred Skills: Experience with Splunk, ScienceLogic, VMWare products (such as vSphere, vCenter, and Horizon VDI). Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, and/or C#. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
