Position: Flight Paramedic (EMT-P) Location: St RobertHours / Shift: Full-Time, Four 24-Hour Shifts Per Pay Period"¯ Overview: Provides high-quality critical care including assessment, triage, and treatment while transporting patients. Working with the Flight Nurse, this position requires the ability to administer medicine and provide advanced life support in a helicopter's confined and noisy space. This role requires a combination of advanced clinical skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to work in high-pressure environments."¯ Job Duties: Assess, evaluate, develop plan of care, and treat and monitor critically ill patients while under pressure.Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team, and the patient and family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.Collect and interpret complex patient data to make clinical decisions to meet individual patient and family needs.Coordinate patient care and interventions to transitioning team, receiving facility, and providers.Assist in maintaining the readiness of the helicopter, equipment and supplies are working and available. Qualifications: Licensure: Current paramedic license in state of operation: MO EMT-P (Missouri Emergency Medical Services-Paramedic)Experience: Three years ER or Critical Care experience.Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)Must have or be able to complete within first six months of service:ITLS (International Trauma Life Support) or PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support).ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) or equivalent.Must have or be able to complete within two years of service:FP-C (Certified Flight Paramedic) or CCP-C (Critical Care Paramedic).Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Must be able to use a Cardiac Monitor, Non-Invasive and invasive BP Monitor, Mechanical Ventilator, C02 monitor, IABP, Impella, Intubation, Infusion Pump, and computer. Key Mercy Benefits:Health/Dental/Vision available after day one. Contribution of $100 per month to eligible co-workers enrolled in the Dependent Care FSA. Paid parental leave for new parents. 401k with employer match starting day one. PTO accrual starts day one and includes a day for volunteering. Competitive salary.  EEO/AA/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans
