Our mission is to advance the health and wellbeing of our communities as a leader in clinical laboratory solutions.Location: Las Vegas, NV 89118 Days: Monday - FridayHours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Full-time: Benefit EligibleIn this role, you will:Prepares and sorts patient requisitions, and identifies and interprets data to be entered intothe information system.Researches available websites for missing patient insurance information and contactsreferring physicians’ office for missing patient demographics or insurance information.· Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from patient requisitions, face sheets, orphotocopy of patients’ insurance card, into the information system following the formatdisplayed on the screen. Routes patient requisitions after entry.Maintains strictest confidentiality.Complies with all State, Federal, professional regulations as well as company anddepartmental rules, polices, and procedural manualsMay enter:​Client information (group name, referring physician, copy to physician, address, and phone and fax number)Patient’s demographics (patient name, address, phone number, date of birth, social security number, gender, medical record number, and electronic medical recordnumber)Clinical history (past/present medical conditions, specifics of medical diagnosis or tests, treatment plans, family history, type of service, services received, dates of specimen gross description (size, shape, type of specimen, and gross code)Billing type (client, patient, insurance, and/or no charge)Patient insurance information (insurance code, carrier name, policy number, groupReviews data entered with source documents and/or error reports and enters necessaryCorrections into the information system..Number, and address of insurance carrier)Service, and provider of service)All you need is:High School Diploma or equivalentPrevious training or experience in specimen collection or processingStrong reading, writing, and analytical skillsAbility to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms.Bonus points if you’ve got:1 - 2 years of related experience in clinical laboratory, data entry, or productionWe’ll give you:Appreciation for your workA feeling of satisfaction that you’ve helped peopleOpportunity to grow in your professionFree lab services for you and your dependentsWork-life balance, including Paid Time Off and Paid HolidaysCompetitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insuranceHelp saving for retirement, with a 401(k) plus a company matchA sense of belonging – we’re a community!Company:Sonic Anatomic PathologyWe also want you to know:This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI).
